The Marketing Portfolio

ABOUT US

The Marketing portfolio is concerned with the promotion of Science Union’s events and initiatives. The work of this portfolio keeps all UWA science students in the loop of all our educational, welfare, social, and external happenings. It comprises of the Marketing Vice-President, Marketing Officer, Media Officer, and Graphical Promotions Officer. As students, we understand how important social media is in this current day and age.

Thus, at the end of last year, the Marketing portfolio was established to boost the online presence and ensure the accessibility of Science Union. We currently boast a Facebook page of over 5k likes and an estimated reach of almost 55k in 2021. Our Instagram follows, with over 1k followers and an estimated reach of over 3.5k unique accounts. Science Union also has a LinkedIn page, which we plan to use more actively in 2023.

Studying: Biochem and Molecular Biology with a double major in Economics

Fun Fact: I keep telling people I’m a pyromaniac and then refusing to explain

About My Role: As the Marketing Vice-President, my main role is to help Science Union put our best foot forward by ensuring our social media pages and promotional materials are top-notch! It's important to me that besides being aesthetically pleasing our content is accessible and easy to consume for everyone. Most anything you see across our Facebook, Insta, LinkedIn, Discord, or TikTok was made or approved by me!

About My Role: My main role as the Media Officer is to manage the Science Union profile across all of our social media platforms. By working collaboratively with the Graphical Promotions Officer, I’m able to post fun and informative content on our pages about our events and projects!
