Hi, I’m Ivan. I am currently studying a double major in Biological Anthropology and Management, and plan to pursue a masters in human ecology. As the Science Union president, it is my responsibility to ensure fair and equal representation is provided for students within the Faculty of Science. This includes spearheading new initiatives and events to provide a range of educational, social and workplace opportunities for students, while at the same time providing educational and emotional support.
If you have any questions regarding Science Union, UWA, or would just like to talk; please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Hi everyone! My name is Sally and I am a third year Pharmacology and Finance Major. I am the secretary of Science Union and my aim is to keep the committee organised and make sure everyone is on the ball! Being the secretary involves organising meetings, maintaining transparency between executives and general committee, record keeping, and ensuring our committee are on track for reaching our goals.
If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact me at email@example.com
Hey guys! I'm Jessica and I am currently in my third year of studying Engineering. I am the Treasurer of the Science Union and my role is essentially to handle anything money related for Science Union. In my down time I like to bury myself in a good ol' book and drink copious amounts of tea.
If you have any questions, fun facts or recommendations for a book feel free to email me at: firstname.lastname@example.org
Hi, I’m Peter and I’m currently studying a PhD in Chemistry, serving the role of Education Vice President and am the proverbial dinosaur of this year’s committee. Palaeontology aside, I’m passionate about science education having seen it through the eyes of both a student and lab demonstrator. If you have any issues or find a neat paper on anatomy, zoology or anything in between hit me up at email@example.com or on 0438881217.
Heya! My name is Jasmine Rose and I’m currently in my third year at UWA, studying Physics and Physiology. I’m one of your Education Officers on Science Union for 2017, here to connect you with your faculty on all course related matters, to make sure that you make the most of education here. I also really like dogs.
Hey, I’m Erin! I’m a third year Physiology and Engineering student. As Education Officer, I’m mainly here to help out the Education Vice-President with their portfolio. However, I also make sure you get the most out of your course, enjoy what you’re learning, and generally provide a link between you and the people running your course. If you have any questions, suggestions, or just want to chat about anything, feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
Heya! I’m Dennis and I am a second year PhD candidate studying synthetic chemistry. I am the Postgraduate Students Representative for both the Science Union and the Postgraduate Students Association. I’m here to advocate for you if you have any concerns regarding your research, grades, supervisors, general wellbeing… all that fun stuff! When I’m not in my lab (which is rare) I like to kitesurf and read good fiction novels. So if you need someone to talk things over with, drop me a line.
Hey everyone I’m Peggy Atkinson, your External Affairs Vice President. I’ve got some ideas in 2017 to try help you network your way from the Science Union to a career that’s more fulfilling than eight hour shifts at your local coffee shop, Woolworths or swimming pool. I also will be working with sponsors and supporters of the Science Union to keep making everything wonderful that we do happen and everything that we don’t do yet happen too. If you have no musical ability (I consider the ability to click and whistle as musical) then come have a chat with me and we’ll get along just fine, and maybe talk some physics since I’m a second year Bachelor of Science student, majoring in Physics and Maths.
Ahoy hoy!!! I'm Michael, a fourth year engineering student and the Careers Officer of the Science Union. My role on committee consists of assisting our lovely External Affairs VP (Meg) wherever possible and organising careers based events. I'm a Virgo, hate liquorice with a passion, am 6'5'' and can cook up a mean risotto. If you have any questions or simply want to have a chat, don't hesitate to get in contact with me.
Hiya guys, I’m Himanshi! I am a third year student with a major in Engineering Science and a minor in Finance, and I hope to pursue a Masters in Mechanical Engineering after my undergrad. My role as a Sponsorship Officer involves partnering with companies around Australia; not only to help sponsor events but also to provide ample networking opportunities for Science Union members.
If you guys ever have any questions about your studies or would like to know more about the committee (or me :p), hit me up for a chat any time on email@example.com.
Hey guys! My name’s Nick and I’m a second year, majoring in Environmental Science and Natural Resource Management (a bit like economics). My role on committee is to be the Media Officer, which is in charge of maintaining this website and supporting general online traffic. I also work closely with the Zoology club as I am the Vice President this year. If there are any questions about the website, Zoology or anything in general, feel free to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org
Hey friends I’m Taigh, the Online Promotions Officer for Science Union. Its my job to keep you guys in the loop, let you know what is going on and supply you with consistent sub-par science memes. If you ever feel like any of our social pages are lacking cute dog videos or quality puns, fire me an angry message. Keep an eye on our website, Facebook (@ScienceUnionUWA), Instagram (scienceunion) and our snapchat (uwascienceunion).
Hey everyone! My name's Elle and I'm a fourth year Psychology and Fine Art major. As a graphical promotions officer, I am in charge of all your design needs - from promotional material such as event banners, posters, tickets, etc. Would always be up for some extra inspiration/design ideas, so feel free to send me an email at email@example.com!
Hello! My name is Suchi and I am a 3rd Year Psychology Double Major. I am the International Student Rep of the Science Union. My role caters to both full time international students and students on exchange in UWA. My aim is to be a support system for international students and to help them adjust and have an enriching and fun experience at university, while providing them with the necessary guidance when required. If you have any questions at all, feel free to approach me (I'm super friendly) or shoot me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org
Hey, my name is Fergus and I'm the Social Vice President for 2017. You'll be given the opportunity to marvel at any work we do by coming along to all of Science Union's fantastic social events! I'm 19, blond hair, blue eyes, I like long walks on the beach, getting caught in the rain, and having baby aliens burst out of others' chests. I have two parents and two legs. I use both of them to play soccer, cricket and beach volleyball (although not well at all). I like music, especially EMAS, I love them... pinapple goes on pizza, milk is for drinking, egg and beetroot both go in burgers.
Hi I'm Becky - A third year microbiology and immunology student, and cliché med hopeful. I hold the supremely essential position of social officer and I am here to help bring you some of the best darn events your little eyeballs have ever witnessed. If you wish to partake in extended conversations regarding Naegleria fowleri infections, have a golden retriever and want to go on a doggy play-date, or have any questions/ideas regarding the Science Union social portfolio, shoot me an email at email@example.com - the amount of puns you use is inversely proportional to the time I will take to reply.
Hey guys, I'm Alex, and as a fifth year it has been a while since I have been stressed about first year issues. However in my time at University I have spent every year on Science Union and my time at university would not have been anywhere near as enjoyable without being involved with the club. This has resulted in me wanting to run events for first years to get them involved and have the positive experiences that I have had! If you are a first year (or indeed just looking for a fun time) I would highly recommend coming down to our events.
Hey hey! I’m Hayden! I’m a third year chemistry and biochemistry student, and I’m one of the Science Union orientation directors for 2017! That means you’ll probably see me around a lot at the start of the year, especially if you’re a fresher, and for the most part I’m just here to help you get the most out of uni life right from the beginning. Whether that’s pointing you in the right direction for any issues you might be facing, or helping you get involved in the campus culture and the number of events that are run for students all through the year. So if you have any questions regarding your start at UWA, feel free to stop me on campus or just flick me a message!
Hi, my name is Cassie and I am a third year pharmacology and biochemistry student. This year, my role is to organise and run all competitions held by Science Union. I also happen to know some incredibly hilarious competition puns, so if you're ever interested in hearing any or want to know what competitions are being run this year then swish an email to me at firstname.lastname@example.org Disclaimer: I can't promise you will laugh at my puns.
Hey I'm Asha, I'm going into my masters in biotechnology and I'm the welfare VP this year. Last year I was the volunteering coordinator so I'm all about helping others *cue halo*. Essentially, the welfare portfolio works to make sure every student feels welcome and cared for at university, by looking after their mental and physical health and trying to solve issues such as discrimination. This matters strongly to me as someone who has struggled with mental health in the past. If you are a student reading this that has any issues, please don't hesitate to reach out me by email, or say hi if you see me around campus.
Hey, I’m Sam and I’m a second year biomedical science student. I’m the 2017 welfare officer, which means I work with the rest of the welfare portfolio to look after the wellbeing of science students at UWA. We’re here to ensure students are treated fairly and receive all the support they need to have the best possible university experience and the opportunity to excel.
If you have any queries about the support offered at UWA or what Science Union’s welfare team can do for you, shoot me an email at email@example.com and I’ll be happy to help

Hi, I am Thomas! I am in my final year of my Sport Science degree. I am the Immediate Past President of Science Union. Like an elder passing down stories and traditions, my role is to impart my wisdom of all things science onto the youth of today. If you wish to tap into this knowledge, flick me an email and come meet our lovely committee!
Howdy, my name is Quinn and I’m a third year Physiology student. For 2017, I am one of Science Union’s Ordinary Committee Members, meaning I help out with a little bit of everything. Most importantly, however, I’ll be trying to make sure your experience at UWA is a fun ride. Feel free to email me on email@example.com or find me on the G-floor of Reid Library as I spend majority of my time there.
Hey what's up guys, Caleb here. I'm a second year geology and physics student. I'm still not sure what I'll do when (if ever) I finish my degree. My position on the science union committee is an OCM, which stands for 'Ordinary Committee Member.' This means I lift things when they need lifting, and essentially help out when needed. I strive for everyone involved with Science Union to savour a savvy, solemn, sour, salty and sassy experience while at UWA.
Hi, my name is Jill and I'm in my third year of studying marine science and chemistry! My job in science Union this year is OCM (ordinary committee member), and I just help out wherever needed!

Gidday Guys, my names Matt and I’m majoring in Pharmacology and Economics. Ball is life, science is my side hoe, and adventure is my middle name.
Hey everyone, my name is Emma and I'm a Science Union Fresher Representative. I am currently studying human biology and work part time as a nuclear weapons technician at the Kremlin, when I have spare time I like to build emotional walls as well as create intricate origami furniture. When I am in the mood I seek out fellow freshlings and impress them with my in depth knowledge of the mating rituals of garden snails . I cook 2 minute noddles in 30 seconds, what more can one do?
Hey guys, my names Eli. I'm a first year representative on the Science Union committee. I'm currently doing a double major in Marine Science and Anatomy and Human Biology. I love to travel, am really into all sports (especially swimming and soccer) and if you can play music, you're already my friend. I'm really looking forward to being a rep for all you new students so if you have any queries or just want to chat don't hesitate to chuck me a message on Facebook.
HEY! I'm Olivia and I'm a first year studying Medical Science and Music. As a first year representative, my role is to participate in all the jobs and activities the committee does and try and help out where I can. If I'm not replying to your messages or lurking in a group chat, it's because I'm in an orchestra rehearsal or rocking out to a punk rock karaoke track with my bass guitar by myself in my living room. If you want to come jam with me because you think that punk rock is so so so much better than the pathetic excuse for music on the radio today, send me a facebook message or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Hi I'm Aidan, I'm studying medical sciences and philosophy with aspirations to go into surgery in the future. I'm a fresher rep for science union, although I honestly couldn't tell you with certainty what that means or entails at this stage. For now I'm doing my best to ensure the best interests of other first years are fairly represented and respected by the science union committee and helping out with event set up and publicity.
HEY! I'm Kaleigh Spithoven, a first year majoring in Anatomy and Human biology. It is my job, as one of your fresher representatives, to help out at events and make sure y'all feel welcomed into the Science union fam! In my past time I dabble in dolphin air acrobatics training and rewatching 90's Disney movies. If you see me around campus don't hesitate to give me a holla!
Hi my name is Kevin Mezger, I am a fresher representative of UWA’s Science Union. I major in Chemistry. I enjoy sports, cooking and music. Especially Bad and Boujee, much to the annoyance of my colleagues. I love most food but I am still currently trying to get more signatures for my ban on celery. If you have any quires or want to join my war on celery, hit me up on Facebook. Look forward to chatting.
Hey! My name is Lucas and I'm currently studying accounting and finance. My role consists of helping others on committee and being the link between the Science Union committee and other freshers. In my spare time I design tattoos, listen to music and think about the existential crisis that is life.
Hey! I'm Megan and I'm studying Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. As a fresher representative I'm basically an extra pair of hands to help out. I enjoy playing netball as well as snorkelling, binge watching TV shows and strutting around home to 'Crazy in Love' by Beyonce; as well as Mac n Cheese... Can't forget the Mac n Cheese. If you ever see me around campus, please don't hesitate to introduce yourself as I love meeting new people!
