Hey guys! My name’s Nick and I’m a third year, majoring in Environmental Science and Natural Resource Management (a bit like economics). I joined Science Union last year as the Media Officer, but this year I’m the President! My role is to form a link between Faculty of Science staff and students, as well as to Science Union committee members. Ensuring students are well represented is also a priority for me, and that students actually enjoy their time at UWA! If there are any questions about Science Union, or UWA in general, feel free to send a message my way!

Keep an eye out for our study nights too! If you need any help or have any complaints or suggestions, feel free to chuck me an email at 22225523@student.uwa.edu.au
Hi there! I’m Brady and I’m into my second year studying my Ph.D. in Structural Biology, working on nucleic acid binding proteins.
In my spare time I enjoy photography and rock climbing. You’ll catch me in my lab repeating an experiment, by the river taking some photos or occasionally flying to Melbourne to shoot things with X-rays at the Australian Synchrotron. If you have any questions about anything post-graduate, biochemistry or research related please get in contact: brady.johnston@research.uwa.edu.au
Hey all! I'm Sarah Woolhouse, the 2019 Social VP for SU. I'm currently doing my undergrad in Synthetic Chemistry and Computer Science and making (or drinking) cocktails for work on the weekends. If you want to say hello you can catch me at SU events, on the top floor of BJ every now and then, or checking out the new happy hours (!) at the Tav.
Or, ya know, just flick me an email at my Science Union account: socialvp@scienceunion.com. Cya round!
Hey! My name is Rachael and I’m one of SU’s social officers for this year! I’m currently in my second year of chemistry and don’t get me wrong, obviously education is v important, but you can’t forget to have fun, make friends and have the best time ever during uni. My job as social officer is to help out with all the amazing social events we run, such as pubcrawls and quiz nights, to make sure everyone is having a great time at uni!!!
Howdy! My name’s Thi, pronounced like tea. I’m a second year anatomy and human biology major and your social officer for 2019! When I’m not spending copious amounts of time with my two sausage dogs or going for long walks in the bush, you’ll most likely find me chatting up SU’s exciting events and other awesome ways to get involved in campus. Come say hey! X
Alohaaa! I’m Carla and I’m currently completing my sixth (and final!) year of studies as I finish off a Master of Public Health degree. Hello!!! I’m Sienna and I am Science Union’s Volunteering Coordinator for 2019. I am a second year studying Medical Sciences, and in my spare time I like to spend $20 on smashed avo and take photos of my dog Yappa. My role this year on SU is to help organise and run a number of super awesome volunteering events that will hopefully get you away from the stresses of uni while allowing you to do something super beneficial for our local community - a win-win, am I right? If you have any questions or suggestions please don’t hesitate to chuck us an email at 22260068@student.uwa.edu.au, I’d love to have a chat!
Hey there! I’m Kate and I’m super excited to be one of SU’s Sports Reps in 2019. I can’t wait to get you and a bunch of other cool people involved in some good ol’ sportz fun this year, especially at interfac (Wednesdays 12-2 !!!) and just have a great time with everyone. If you ever wanna chat just chuck me a message or email at 22494158@student.uwa.edu.au - or you can probs find me in the tav :))
// My name is Kevin and I have a basketball game tomorrow. //
This is Kevin. He likes sportz. He also made me write his description for him, hence the basketball meme. We sometimes have difficulty getting him to smile when he thinks about nobody coming to interfac sports on Wednesdays. Please come play sport with Kev on Wednesdays 12-2pm so we can turn that frown upside down. If you come to interfac you can also sign my petition to stop Kevin from dabbing. Kevin also hates celery, much to my dismay, and has pledged his allegiance to Migos. Kevin can eat a whole pizza faster than you can bat your eyelids at him, so make sure you always carry around celery to ward him off.
Hey friends I’m April (but call me AP) and I’m a second year who’s in denial about no longer being a fresher. If I’m not headbanging or playing Animal Crossing, I’m actually studying a double major in Microbiology & Immunology and Pathology & Laboratory Medicine. This year I’m your External Affairs VP and my goal is to help you all gain sick skillz so that you can get up and get a job. Contrary to popular belief, there is a world of opportunity out there upon graduation and I want to help you to discover that!
If you have any questions or wanna talk about games, tatts, music or literally anything that comes to your mind, flick me a message on facebook or email su-vp-external@guild.uwa.edu.au and we can grab a FAATTTT FEEEEEEEEDD
Hi! My name is Cody and I'm this year's External Affairs Officer. I'm in my second year at UWA and am studying a major in Marine Science. My interests include a deep passion for the ocean, family, sports, cooking, and my dog. If you ever want to chat or need some help you can contact me in person or at 22424564@student.uwa.edu.au
Hi! My name is Tahlia and I'm the Sponsorship Officer for 2019. This means that I'm in charge of making friends with a bunch of companies that mutually benefit from either sponsoring us or attending our amazing events! I am also a third year Sport Science & Exercise and Health double major and I am absolutely loving it. If you have any questions/comments/concerns or need some advice on the best feeds on and around campus you can hit me up at 22260522@student.uwa.edu.au
Hey everyone, I’m Liv and I'm a second year student studying Medical Sciences and Music Studies with aspirations of becoming an orthopaedic surgeon. I'm really good at stealing kitchen appliances from my friends as well as crying whilst binge-watching medical dramas. I can play five instruments and if we can play music together you're already my friend. As the 2018 Media Officer, my job entails running this website you’re currently on as well as keeping everyone updated via our social media. If you feel like our meme game on our social media is sub-par, shoot me an email at 22250332@student.uwa.edu.au with your favourite meme format and I will do my best to deliver more enjoyable content.
Hi, I’m Zack and I’m a third-year double psychology major. As the Graphical Promotions Officer for Science Union, I’m responsible for designing event cover photos, posters, tickets, and any other promotional items needed. I also work closely with Multicultural Students Union, where I am their head of design. I live and breathe art so if you have any questions, ideas or opinions feel free to send the messages to 21952922@student.uwa.edu.au.
Hey there, my name is Pratima and I'm the International Representative for this year on SU. I'm from Nepal and currently, I’m studying Master of Agricultural Science (Genetics and Breeding specialisation). A year ago, I joined UWA and in this short span of time, I have been gifted with many lessons and stories to tell. I outgrew many of my fears and I cannot thank enough towards all the kind-hearted volunteers who helped me during my transition. Now I want to help as many students as I can to continue this amazing tradition of passing the knowledge and kindness around. If you are an international student belonging to Faculty of Science, please feel free to email me your queries at: 22163974@student.uwa.edu.au
Hey I’m Sam, and I’m an ordinary committee member. This means that I hang around and help with stuff, as I slowly fade into irrelevancy. This is my fourth year at UWA (and on Science Union), but I’m finishing off the third and final year of my Bachelor of Science, majoring in Biomedical Science. My major doesn’t exist anymore, but I certainly do, so if you need someone to contact SU through then HMU at 21989522@student.uwa.edu.au
Hey hey hey! I’m Emily De Castro and i’m one of Science Union’s OCMs for 2018. I’m currently a second year studying (prepare for the mouthful) Microbiology & Immunology and Anatomy & Human Biology. My job is to basically help the big guns on committee wherever needed. If you have questions about Science Union or university life in general, feel free to chuck me a Facebook message or email at 22225523@student.uwa.edu.au.
Hi everyone!! I'm Yuval! Or Youi! Or guava! Actually, if you say something close enough to my name I'll probably turn around. I'm a new OCM on SU this semester and I'm super excited for all the fun events and good times coming up. I major in Maths and Physics and have a strong dislike of chocolate. If you don't like chocolate too, or you want to roast me about not liking chocolate, or you just wanna chat, hit me up! Hope to see you around at SU events or around uni
Hello! My name is Peggy and I'm an Ordinary Committee Member so you'll catch me hanging out on Oak Lawn getting enthusiastic about all the events SU's got going on. When I grow up I want to be a physicist, live in a country where it's summer all the time and hear Jimi Hendrix play live. Hence I'm studying physics and pretending Jimi Hendrix is still alive, have a good day!
Hi! My name is Becky and i'm one of your fabulous OCMs for this year. I am currently completing my honours in microbiology and immunology and I REALLY love science and aim to share that passion with as many people as I can! If you're hanging around QE2 and need a coffee or want to learn more about funky brain eating amoebas then hit me up :)
Hey everyone, I’m Liv!! I’m one of your fresher reps for this year. I’m currently studying a double major in physiology and finance. I can’t wait to get involved in everything science union does and get everyone else involved too.
heyo! I’m April (or AP) and I’m studying Microbiology and Immunology and Classics and Ancient History. I don’t know what to eat for breakfast tomorrow so don’t ask me what my future aspirations are. My favourite pastimes include smashing out Skyrim, eating burgers, and roasting my friends. As fresher rep I promise to help out whenever, wherever and look out for your best interests - I’ll make sure that your voice is heard! If you have any queries or good memes, just hit me up.
Hey! I’m Rachael and I’m currently studying chemistry and french. I’m a fresher rep for 2018 and I’m so excited to be a part of science union! This year has been a blast already and I can’t wait to help out and get involved, hopefully making uni fun for everyone!
Hello! I’m Todd, I will be a fresher rep this year. I am majoring in physiology. I’ve only been part of Science Union for a little while but I want to show everyone the amazing and inclusive culture we have! I am trying my best to get involved in as much as I can and hopefully I can help others make the most out of this year. If you see me walking or studying at Reid, please come say hi, we can talk about physiology or travel or just about how you're finding uni. See you soon :)
Hey I'm Gidget, I'm studying marine science and I am still figuring out what my second major will be. Without Science Union, starting uni would have been nowhere near as fun for me! So as fresher rep, I want to get more people involved and make sure everyone has as much of a great time as I have had so far this year. If you want to chat about anything, just ask. I love helping out and making sure others get the best experience out of what is offered. I can't wait for the rest of this year with SU!
Hey guys, I’m Robbie. I’m currently doing a double major in Chemistry and Neuroscience. I’m also a fresher rep on Science Union for 2018, I'm not too sure what this entails right now however I’m just keen to get involved and be a rep for all you new students here at UWA. I’m down for all things sport, music, or food and can likely be found procrastinating in one of the libraries on campus.
Hey! My name is Dougal, pronounced like Google but with a D. But like I’ll take what I can get really. My goal in life is to be the best father figure I can possibly be, but for now I’m studying neuroscience and psychological science. I’m always keen to chat about my pretty limited knowledge with anyone that’s interested. I’ve only been with science union for a short while so far but really enjoy the community and couldn’t recommend getting involved any more.
Hi, my name’s Asher and I'm a fresher rep for science union. I am studying architecture and sport science, bridging the gap between the two faculties. Joining SU has been my best decision at uni so far and I really look forward to repping for all the new students. If you see me on main campus or treks away at alva, come say hi!
Howdy! My name's Ivan, the Immediate Past president! While I don't exactly run the show anymore, I offer 'sage advice' and make sure the plans and initiatives implemented in the past are followed through to their fullest potential!
Hit me up at my fancy new email ivan.roncevich18@guild.uwa.edu.au if you would like to drop any Q's
